SANDRA ALLEN is a nonfiction writer based in the Catskills. Their first book, A Kind of Mirraculas Paradise: A True Story about Schizophrenia was published by Scribner in January 2018. Sandy was previously a BuzzFeed News features editor. Their essays and features stories published by BuzzFeed News, CNN Opinion, and Pop-Up Magazine. They also founded and ran the online-only literary quarterly Wag’s Revue. Their work focuses on the past, present, and future of mental healthcare in America and on constructs of normalcy, including psychiatric disability and gender.

NUAR ALSADIR is a poet, writer, and psychoanalyst. She is the author of the poetry collections Fourth Person Singular (2017), a finalist for the 2017 National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry and shortlisted for the 2017 Forward Prize for Best Collection in England and Ireland; and More Shadow Than Bird (Salt Publishing, 2012). Her poems and essays have appeared in numerous publications, including Granta, The New York Times Magazine, BOMB, Slate, Grand Street, The Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, Poetry London, andThe Poetry Review. Alsadir is a fellow at The New York Institute for the Humanities, and she works as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in private practice in New York.

MINDA HONEY was raised and resides in the land of bourbon, basketball and horse racing: Louisville, Kentucky. Her writing has been featured by Longreads, the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Washington Post, The Guardian, The Oxford American, and every other week she tackles the dating woes of strangers as her city’s relationship advice columnist. She’s working on her memoir, An Anthology of Assholes, about dating as a woman of color in Southern California.

TOM MCALLISTER is the author of the novels How to Be Safe and The Young Widower’s Handbook, and the memoir Bury Me in My Jersey. He is the nonfiction editor at Barrelhouse, and co-host of the weekly Book Fight! podcast. His shorter work has been published most recently in Bridge Eight, The Millions, The Rumpus, and Best American Nonrequired Reading. He teaches at Temple University and lives in New Jersey.
