MEMOIR MONDAY is a collaboration between Narratively, Catapult, Tin House, The Rumpus, Granta, Guernica, and Longreads to bring the very best first-person writing together in a weekly newsletter and a monthly reading series!

This month’s readers:
LISA W. ROSENBERG is a writer and psychotherapist specializing in multiracial identity. She is also a former ballet dancer, with essays published in Longreads, Narrative.ly, Mamalode, Interfaith Families Online, and Social Work in Healthcare. A native New Yorker, Lisa now lives in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband, two teenagers, and Goldendoodle.
JENESSA ABRAMS is a Norman Mailer Fiction Fellow and has been awarded fellowships and grants from the MacDowell Colony, the Ucross Foundation, the Vermont Studio Center and Columbia University, where she earned her MFA in fiction and literary translation. Her writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and published in Tin House, Guernica, The Rumpus, BOMB Magazine and elsewhere. Currently, she teaches writing at Rutgers University.
KELLY TSAI is an award-winning artist, writer, filmmaker, and music artist/producer based in Brooklyn. Her memoir-in-progress, The Invisible Word, won the 2017 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Non-Fiction Literature and has been nominated for the 2019 New York Community Trust Ellen Levine Prize. Her work as a spoken word poet has been featured at over 700 venues worldwide including the White House under Obama, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and multiple times on HBO.
ALLIE ROWBOTTOM is the author of JELL-O GIRLS. Her essays can be found in Vanity Fair, Salon, The Florida Review, The Rumpus, No Tokens and elsewhere. She is the recipient of fellowships and awards from Disquiet, Summer Literary Seminars, Inprint and Tin House. Allie holds a PhD from the University of Houston and an MFA from CalArts and lives in LA.
