LIT Magazine celebrates the launch of its 20^th issue with readings from contributors Eric Amling, Sara Batkie, Paul Legault, Leigh Stein, and Brooks Sterritt. LIT Magazine is a nationally distributed, nationally regarded literary journal, promoting the best contemporary writing by influential authors and poets of today and tomorrow.

About the Readers:

Eric Amling lives in Brooklyn, New York. His most recent chapbook is Nine Live Two-Headed Animals (Greying Ghost, 2010). His art and writing have appeared on albums by Dr. Dog and The Bowerbirds, among others. humanhairandco.org.

Sara Batkie was born in Seattle, cut her teeth in Connecticut, then grew up in the wilds of the Midwest, where she received her BA from the University of Iowa in 2008. She recently completed her MFA in Fiction at New York University. Now, she lives in Brooklyn and works in Queens. Her story "Cleavage" won the 2010 Gulf Coast Fiction Prize.

Paul Legault is the author of two books of poetry: The Madeleine Poems (Omnidawn, 2010), and The Other Poems, forthcoming from Fence Books this fall. He co-edits the translation press Telephone Books and works at the Academy of American Poets.

Leigh Stein is the author of four chapbooks of poetry and one novel, The Fallback Plan, forthcoming from Melville House in Spring 2012. She lives in Brooklyn, where she teaches drama to children.

Brooks Sterritt lives in Boston and blogs at magicmonads.com. His fiction has appeared in Conjunctions, Emprise Review, Barrelhouse, and Gigantic, among others.
