Spike Lee can't get enough of us! He returns to the Arena with his newest kids' book, co-authored by his wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, and illustrated by award-winning artist Sean Qualls. Giant Steps to Change the World uses examples of people throughout history from all walks of life who have taken "giant steps" and urges kids to follow their lead. Spike, Tonya, and Sean will all read from and sign the book.

About the book:

Following the success of their much beloved picture books, Please, Baby, Please and Please, Puppy, Please, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Spike Lee and his talented wife Tonya Lewis Lee offer up an inspirational picture book about activism that can change one's life and one's world. Illuminated with illustrations by the award-winning artist Sean Qualls, Giant Steps to Change the World will inspire readers young and old to take the steps to make a positive impact to both change themselves, and ponder what they can contribute to society.

Using examples of people throughout history from all walks of life who have taken "giant steps," this book urges kids to follow in the footsteps of those who came before, and not be hindered by fear or a sense that they are not good enough. Each spread is about a real-life figure who has proven that despite the challenges, even the smallest step can make a difference. The front and back flaps of the book reveal who the figure is, along with a quote by that person.
