New York Times bestselling children's book author Mo Willems will be joined by acclaimed illustrator Jon J. Muth. Mo Willems' spare, poignant text and Jon J. Muth's expressive watercolors team up to tell a story that will resonate with readers of all ages. Willems will be reading from City Dog, Country Frog and also his heartwarming new Elephant and Piggie book, Can I Play Too?

About the books:

In City Dog, Country Frog, when City Dog runs free in the country for the first time, he spots Country Frog sitting on a rock, waiting for a friend. "You'll do," Frog says, and together they play Country Frog games. In the summer, they meet again and play City Dog games.

In Can I Play Too? Gerald and Piggie meet a new snake friend who wants to join in a game of catch. But don't you need arms to catch? Mo Willems' Geisel Award-winning duo never fails to tickle readers of all ages. Like the previous Elephant and Piggie Books, this book has been vetted by early learning specialists. It turns reading into fun!

About the author:

Mo Willems is a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of picture books and early readers that have changed the face of children's literature. He has been awarded a Caldecott Honor on three occasions, and two of his Elephant and Piggie books have received a Theodor Seuss Geisel Medal. His most recent picture book is Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, of which Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books wrote: "Willems continues to be a master at conveying an amazing amount of emotion and humor using...minimal elements," in a starred review. He lives in Brooklyn with his family.
