In this fusion of science, geography, physics and wonder, Mark Vanhoenacker reminds his readers that air travel remains one of the most remarkable feats of the modern world.  Poet Kirun Kapur joins him in conversation.

About Skyfaring:

For many, flying has become an ordinary part of life and is often associated with frustration (delays, lost luggage, cancellations). Told from the unique perspective of a British Airways Boeing 747 pilot, Skyfaring takes you on a journey from takeoff to landing and reminds us to appreciate the beauty of flight. Skyfaring asks us to reimagine what we – both as pilots and as passengers – are actually doing when we enter the world between departure and discovery. This book is a perfect fusion of science, geography, physics, and wonder and will leave you requesting a window seat on your next flight.

About the Author:
